So, if you've been following along, this week has not been the best for my goals. I have been very busy with work events in California and haven't had a lot of control over my meal options. However, I do not intend to make excuses or let myself off the hook. This week has been hard but I was able to get small workouts in here and there and made pretty good choices overall I think with my food even though I know I could have done a lot better. I am so happy to be able to get back into my normal routine starting Monday.
I have been stressing a little bit about not being in the routine and schedule I have been for the past couple weeks. No doubt this week didn't help me get closer to my goals but I don't think it pushed me back from them and there is no reason to just give up. It's time to hit the reset button.
I love using this analogy for many situations. We all have times in our lives where we get to a point of frustration either with ourselves or others. Instead of blowing things out of proportion and getting upset, it's best I find to think of hitting your "reset button". Take a breath, put things in perspective, and figure out a solution to the problem.
For me, I have been getting frustrated with myself and my circumstances in relation to the goals that I have set out to achieve. So it's time to hit the reset button and figure out my next step.
I have decided that I am going to get back with my blog and counting everything as I have been starting Monday. I usually am against setting a date to start getting fit or eating right but in this situation I'm not starting anything over I'm just trying to get back on track. I am going to use this weekend to get settled back in and prepare for the week to come. I plan on getting good workouts in and eating good/healthy food!
Superbowl is this Sunday and I am going to make Turkey meatballs to bring with me to a party I am going to. I will post the recipe on Monday. This is a healthy alternative to other appetizers and options that are typical for that day.
I am going to enjoy the rest of the weekend and use it to "reset myself" and begin fresh Monday while keeping in mind to get workouts in and make good food choices!
