Inspiration for the day

Date: 2/8/2012

Workout: 5:45am Kickboxing/Strength Class at Fitness One, and a walk or something light in the evening.
Our workout this morning was killer on the abs. I think we did 15 different ab exercises. Usually the intervals of exercises are 1 or 2 minutes. Today, they were 3 minute intervals of exercising which made it seem a lot harder. It took a lot of mental focus and motivation to keep going. I decided to try and do something light this evening for my exercise. I was going to try and workout twice a day this week but I have a feeling if I go too hard too soon that my body isn’t going to react well and I might get sick from pushing myself too much. Since I didn’t work out a lot last week, my body isn’t used to this much activity so I am going to give myself a little bit of a break this evening.

I made a couple errors with my food today. You can notice that my snacks are above 200 Calories (they should always be under 200 Calories), my lunch is the least amount of calories out of all my meals, and I decided to do a frozen dinner tonight. These are pretty minor errors and I’m not worries about them but it is good for me to note for the future. As I was thinking about what I am going to eat for dinner, I am just really not in the mood to cook tonight. Which is pretty rare for me because I really enjoy cooking and I cook and prepare all my meals. I really don’t believe in frozen dinners and I know the cautions against them and advocate to not eat them. However, it was either get a frozen dinner or eat out because I just need a break from the kitchen tonight. So I did a good amount of research to find one that is lower in sodium and not as high in carbs compared to the other frozen dinners. I found one made by kasha that I think will be a good choice.

Inspirational Video
I wanted to share one of my favorite inspirational stories today. The video below is an 8 minute video but well worth the time. It is about a father who competes in a triathlon with his disabled son. Their story is so inspirational and I can’t help but tear up every time I watch it. It fills me with so much motivation and makes me feel like I can do anything.
A triathlon consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a marathon 26.2-mile run
Here is the video:
