Workout: Ran on the treadmill this morning for 30 minutes, did some ab exercises, and stretched. I’m going to take a 6:15pm class at Fitness One (Kettle bell/Strength Circuit)
Food:
I didn’t have time to count calories and everything today so I am just going to record what I ate:
Breakfast: Egg white, cheese, and turkey breakfast sandwich on Flat Out Fold It bread
Morning Snack: Greek Yogurt, 1/3c. blueberries, 1/3 c. Kashi Go Lean Crunch
Lunch: Chicken/chickpea/cucumber/greek yogurt dressing salad
Afternoon Snack: 15 Wheat Thins and sliced green peppers
Dinner: Scrambled Eggs and Toast
I feel much better and on track with my diet and fitness today. I can notice a difference in the way that I feel when I don’t work out compared to when I do. Plus eating healthy makes me feel so much better too. I think it’s funny when you think about it, I think most people tend to feel a lot better when they are doing good things for their bodies then when they are eating unhealthy and not exercising. If we could all keep that in mind, I think we would all make better decisions more often.
Here is a recipe idea if you have a craving for a sweet tooth:
Ingredients:
1 package Ghardelli Dark Chocolate Chips
1 cup. Crushed or sliced almonds
1 cup blueberries (or fruit of your choice)
Parchment Paper
Directions:
Take a microwavable bowl and empty chocolate chips into it. Put in microwave and cook on high for a few minutes while stirring every minute or until chocolate is melted. Next, mix in almonds and fruit. Take a spoonful and place it on parchment paper. Repeat until you use all of the mixture. Place parchment paper in fridge for 30 minutes.
100 calories per “clump”
Very good! I made this for my family when I was back in Ohio and everyone seemed to like it! Plus, if you love chocolate and want to treat yourself but keep it as healthy as possible, this is a good option.
