I went into the weekend pretty confident and prepared so I think that's what helped it be so successful. Yesterday was a long day which I knew it would be and I was dead tired. I did pretty well with what I ate though. Here is what I ate Saturday:
Breakfast: Snack Wells Nutrition Bar and Banana
Morning Snack: Apple and Cheese stick
Lunch: 1 can of Tuna and 1 Tbsp. of Light Mayo and 2 rice cakes and sliced peppers and an orange
Dinner: Sushi
This is what I ate Today:
Breakfast: 2 slices Whole Wheat Toast and 2 Tbsp. Natural Peanut Butter and grapes
Morning Snack: Greek Yogurt and a Nature Valley Granola Bar
Lunch: Chicken Quesidilla and 4 tbsp. Salsa with tortilla chips (this was a small portion by the way--the chicken quesidilla was made from just 1 tortilla and it was left over from the one I made the other day)
Dinner: Sushi
As you can see, I didn't county my calories, carbs, etc for these two days but I don't think I'm going to on weekends any more because it is really hard to have time and to know how much certain things are. The bad thing of the weekend is that I am having sushi 2 days in a row. Sushi isn't necessarily healthy sometimes and you have to be careful how much you eat and what kinds you get. Overall, I feel good about this week and this weekend because I got great workouts in and I don't feel bad about anything I ate (except maybe the sushi). However, I could have made some horrible choices this weekend because of our event and the kind of food provided and I'm proud of myself for not giving into temptation :)
I am heading to take a zumba class with one of my good friends now! I'm pretty exciting because it will be something different but still a good workout and really fun! After the class, we are going to do a circuit of 6 exercises (both of us are going to think of 3 exercises). Should be a great workout!
